Should be made well in advance. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation for which the total tour price has not been paid by due date.
Are detailed at the end of the program, are subject to alteration without prior notice. Prices are subject to adjustment in the event of changes to general sales tax / value added tax, fuel or airfare increases, currency fluctuations, etc. No adjustment to the tour price will be made once the final prepayment has been received.
DEPOSIT POLICY AND CANCELLATION SCHEDULE
Bookings shall be considered confirmed only when the booking is accompanied by a deposit valued as below:
INDIVIDUALS (FIT) - PAYMENT:
A deposit equal to thirty-five percent (35 %) of the contracted value tour price, due on booking the tour. The balance of the contracted value, tour price shall be paid not less than forty (40) days prior to the anticipated date of tour departure (or upon reservation if less than forty (40) days). Bookings made within forty (40) days prior to the anticipated date of tour departure must be accompanied by full payment.
A deposit equal to thirty-five percent (35 %) of the contracted value tour price, due on booking the tour or not less than seventy (70) days prior to the anticipated date of tour departure (or upon placing the reservation if less than seventy (70) days). The balance of the contracted value, tour price shall be paid not less than forty (40) days prior to the anticipated date of tour departure (or upon reservation if less than forty (40) days). Bookings made within forty (40) days prior to the anticipated date of tour departure must be accompanied by full payment.
Payment shall be made directly to our bank account by transfer or Master Card or Visa.
Transfers should be made in USD to the SKYLANE SAFARIS LTD account:
All payments shall be free of any bank charges. If payment by credit cards the following information shall be provided;
- Card holder’s name
- Billing address
- Card number
- Expiry date and card type
Any cancellation of a reservation must be in writing, either by e-mail or fax, and shall only be effective upon its receipt and acknowledgment by management.
The following cancellation fees will be made for cancellations:
INDIVIDUALS (FIT) - CANCELLATIONS:
60 - 45 days prior to the anticipated tour departure thirty-five (45) % of the contracted value, tour price.
44 or less days prior to the anticipated tour departure hundred (100) % of the contracted value, tour price.
GROUPS - CANCELLATIONS:
70 - 45 days prior to the anticipated tour departure = thirty-five (45) % of the contracted value, tour price.
44 days or less days prior to the anticipated tour departure = hundred (100) % of the contracted value, tour price.
Cancellations must be made in writing and will be effective on the date of receipt in our offices. Should the client fail to join the tour or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made.
Luggage and personal effects are conveyed entirely at owner’s risk. Passengers should ensure that they have comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal luggage, money etc. Vehicles on escorted tours carry passenger liability insurance in accordance with existing laws in Kenya.
TOUR PRICES INCLUDE
Accommodation, single accommodation, meals, transportation, sightseeing, and game drives as specified in the tour itinerary.
TOUR PRICES EXCLUDE
Telephone calls, personal laundry, beverages, gratuities, excursions not specified and any other items of a personal nature unless actually specified.
Our safari packages includes all accommodation and meals while on safari, airport transfers, park fees and services of Skylane Safaris Ltd guides and drivers. It is customary to tip your Driver Guide, as well as the Cooks and Staffs for safaris, camping and expeditions. You will also pay for your own beverages and anything of personal nature e.g. like laundry service, phone and etc.
While the Company uses its best endeavours to ensure that all anticipated restaurants, accommodation, attractions etc. are available as planned, In case there is something wrong or any claim of any nature whatsoever against the Company for a refund either in the whole or in part if any excursion is unavailable or the passenger was unable to use that service, the Company Directors will discuss with the clients / Agents in an amicable manner on how to resolve the problem.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS
The onus is on the client to ensure that passports and visas are valid for the countries visited. Both the Company and its agents cannot be held liable for any visa etc. not held by clients.
ALTERATIONS AND AMENDMENTS:
Since the human factor and the unpredictable are part of life, the tour operator reserves the right to make last-minute changes to the agreed program provided these do not change the quality or quantity – i.e. places to visit, quality of accommodation, quality of transportation – of the tour described in the program.
SKYLANE SAFARIS LTD, (hereafter referred to as “The Company”) and co-operative agents act only in the capacity of agents for the passengers in all matters and as such hold themselves free of responsibility for any delays, loss or damage, from any cause whatsoever.
All tours are arranged subject to the conditions imposed by the airline, hotel, restaurants, other companies, firms not be responsible and shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or inconvenience to any person, or his or her luggage or other personal property, wherever the same shall occur and whether the same shall arise from or be occasioned by the negligence of The Company, their servants, or agents or other persons directly or indirectly in the employment or service of the company or otherwise under any circumstances, Company Director will intervene and investigate and find suitable solution to the problem which will be of mutual benefits to both clients / Agents and SKYLANE SAFARIS LTD.
The law of the Republic of Kenya shall govern the relationship between SKYLANE SAFARIS LTD and the passengers, tour organizers and the Courts of the Republic of Kenya shall have sole jurisdiction in any respect of claims and or disputes that may arise between SKYLANE SAFARIS LTD and the passenger or tour organizer.
